How’d you get into anime?
I used to randomly meet people with bootleg VHS of random anime movies, like Akira, Fist Of The Northstar, Devil Man. I really locked in with Dragonball though, back in like 1995 ish. Anime became my escape from my reality, my real life was full of anxiety from shootouts, raids, that kinda stuff. My house got shot up when i was little and lots of other crazy stuff happened to me growing up. Anime helped me tune out my issues that developed from it.
How’d you come up with idea to create Trapime music?
I didn’t call it “Trapime” that term was introduced to me via Detox The Kid. i was just creating the music and had not come up with a name for it yet. I was inspired to create it when i went to see a DBZ movie in theaters and saw how big the community had grown since the 90’s when i got into it. Back then being into anime was like a secret society. We were in the trenches doing what people in the trenches do, anime wasn’t cool.
